The fact that you are so 'technically skilled', yet 'innovative and creative' whilst still being such a nice easygoing even-tempered guy...is just short of AMAZING!
I love the short (yet it doesn't look short) haircut. It is so easy to work with. I am able to style it to look like you did it in the salon. up to now, other stylists have told me that I "must use product" to get the look I wanted....contrary to that, you cut my hair, and I'm getting it to do what I want WITHOUT product. You truly are a 'technician', but have a wonderful creative eye. Thank you David, for your patience..your wonderful skilled creativity...and easygoing style. This is long, but bear with it, you'll be happy you did...
About three years ago I decided I wanted to try and cut my hair short again. Over the years I have had many bad experiences with this because I wanted something really easy to do (I am retarded when it comes to styling) and I work out a lot so I have to wash it a lot. Every time I would decide to cut it, no matter how good the stylist was supposed to be, I was always extremely disappointed because if they got it short enough for me to handle, it ended up looking rather unfeminine. So, every time, Id give up and grow my hair out long again, just so I could pull it back. Stylists always told me that I had some curl in the back and the rest was straight. I was so frustrated because I have a LOT of hair and I just knew if I could find someone who was truly an artist he/she could cut all that hair into something cute. I began asking everyone I saw with what I considered good cuts, but one day when I was shopping a Whole Foods; my cashier had an adorable short-short cut that did not look butch. I asked who cut her hair and she couldnt remember, but just knew he ran a salon in Long Beach called Koru. I dashed home and found it on the Net and immediately made an appointment with the owner, David Ingham. The comments on the website truly gave me hope that maybe I had finally found someone who was talented enough to cut my hair. I was ecstatic!
What can I say except TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS! My cut is so adorable and is so me that I want to shout it from mountain tops. I have never looked better and I actually can style it myself in 3-5 minutes.
By the way, my hair is extremely curly all over and David somehow found this when no one in thirty years ever has.
He truly is an artist and I feel as though I found the Holy Grail! If you have continually been disappointed and think no one can do your hair, THIS IS THE MAN!!!! He is a genius and I truly believe his talent knows no bounds. Believe me; you have to experience someone this talented to truly realize they do exist. Thank you David for making my year and life! You just better NEVER retire!

But what's so amazing about David is his talented eye for his creations... You can tell him exactly what you want to be replicated or you can be more adventurous (like me!) and tell him to do whatever to your hair. He took the hairstyle that I've had all my life and gave me a really short haircut that exudes confidence and style. David has been my hairstylist (and my mom's, and sister's--who travels 45 minutes to see them) for well over a year, now. He has been CONSISTENTLY precise with hair coloring--get's my highlights/weaves right EVERY TIME! He has a fantastic eye for what looks good on a person and patiently deals with questions and indecisions--I'm known to change my mind at the last minute! he gives GREAT advice because of his knowledge and skills. I knew he would be my long term stylist when he called back after a few days of my first color treatment to see how I liked it.
The overall environment is inviting, relaxing and full of good energy. One can feel the love and pride of family ownership in this place!...a model for all salons! And I've NEVER felt That I've been so satisfied by a salon to go out of my way for one!
